2/28/2024 0 Comments T5 sequential shifter![]() The system that tells the arduino what gear i'm actually in so it can see if a change was successful or not. ![]() Hi, W, X, Y and Z report the cable position using microswitches e.g when say Z and W are active then its in a certain gear and so on. Relays might not be a good idea though, it depends on how fast you need to be switching them.Where do I start. I don't know what kind of forces are involved, but solenoids require more current to close than it takes for them to hold. Solenoids and relays aren't exactly light loads. Since I don't know how they'll be mounted to the gearbox or what motions are needed it's all up to you to make sure those are correct. This is all aside from the fact that most of us on this forum (including me) aren't gearheads so we have to trust you to know what sequence the actuators need to be activated in in order to shift gears.
